Michael Belman is a professionally trained objects conservator providing a full range of restoration and preservation services including:  examination and restoration of a wide variety of objects types and materials including ceramics, glass, wooden objects, stone, metals, plaster, plastics, bone, leather, feathers, and textiles.

Michael conducts cleanings, performs structural repairs, casts and refabricates lost elements, as well as filling, inpainting and applying protective coatings.

Michael is experienced with managing large scale outdoor sculpture restoration, installing and maintenance projects on bronze, painted metal, steel, marble and wood.

Michael provides expertise in industrial design, materials science and technology of fabrication methods used on the types of objects noted.

Michael can perform in-depth technical analysis on objects using ultra-violet illumination, microscopy and materials analysis.  Experienced with a diverse array of analytical instruments.
